All of my posts will be within TT Visa from now on.

Whilst I will still comment on TT threads outside for a while, anything I share will be on the inside.
I encouraged Koanic to join there, and he has done. I didn't realise jsl is an MT until this week, and would hope he might apply for a visa pass there and that it would be approved.

As for the other TTs, I view the Visa versus Public halls as a metaphor for real life: be careful what you say and where you say it, as you don't know who you can trust. Sometimes it's very clear of course.

As a Brit living with laws that attack my freedom of speech my concerns are very real. Have you ever noticed my self-censorship, it's automatic now, everything is toned down. Thanks to (((those))) who foisted those laws on us many years ago and Sadiq Khan for beefing up online policing of speech/thought crime. TT Visa offers some privacy at least.

Sometimes I forget that others have actual legal concerns restricting their speech.

Ditto. In America it's more informal, where you're more worried about the neighbors than the police.
